Dear friends I'm back to say hello and tell you about the move. Oh it was very enlightning and very stressful.
First I got lucky and did not have to drive from Michigan to Kentucky, larry's(bf) brother Dale drove my vehicle down for me. I thanked the Lord from there to here for that. On the way down I freaked, seeing how difficult it would of been for me to drive it. The traffic was frightful and all the turns and exits were numerous.
We had very good luck as far as not having a vehicle break down on us. Although the van over heated, Larry turned on the heat full blast and it brought the tempature right down. We went up some very steep hills, I called them mountains!! LOL!!
We got down here at around 6 o'clock, it was just about ready to turn dark out. It was very gloomy as we were getting a bad storm. We got into the house only to find out we had no electricity. The neighbors came out and told us that we were under tornado warnings. We were lucky as we had brought our oil lamps with us, So I got them out and we had light. hehe!! We made it through the thunderous storm, the loudest thunder I have ever heard, it was very scarey. Come to find out in the morning tornados had hit in the county above us and beside us. I prayed to God to keep us save and He did.
The next day we began unpacking, the van was so loaded down I was for sure we would break and axel. LOL!!
It took us all day to unpack everything and the organization has taken me a month.
We had only been here a week and the furnace went out on us, So we had to call the Landlord and he called his maintence man, we froze the whole night long but it was fixed by 11 am the next day.
We had horrible luck getting everythiong transfered down from Michigan to Kentucky, it seemed like everything got messed up and it did, it took us several weeks to get it straightened out and still we are working on one more thing and we have been here 2 months.
The roads down here are not like Michigan roads. They are very narrow and they only give you enough room for your car and maybe one tire length extra space for errors, the roads drop off into very deep ditches and they have more curves then a snake has in its body, LOL!!
I have went to town by myself two times now and will be going again tomorrow. I had to drive to Hopkinsville by myself last Tuesday, I got directions, but it does not prepare you for all the surprises, but I did ok and made it to my destination, in one try.
I am glad to be back on and hope to hear from all of you! Take care my friends! In Jesus! Love, hugs and prayers! Yvonne

Good Day! I hope that all of you had a wonderful Christmas! We Did! We didn't give or have gifts this year as funds didn't allow for it. But the best gift is knowing Jesus died to save us all from death!
The next best gift was that my two sons came up to see me. They stayed 2 days and one night! we had a great time. We played monopoly and Farkal as we sat and listened to christmas music! This made the visit wonderful, we had a blast! My oldest son Bryan bought Larry, Jackie and I a huge spiral Ham, it was yummy! Joshua now 17 will graduate in 2009!
I hope, I pray and I wish this New Year 2008 will bring you new adventures, new friends and open many new wonderful doors for you!
May God bless you with the strength you need to get through everything! May He bless you with forgiveness and grace, may He Bless you and your family with fun, laughter and happiness! May He bless your hearts and your homes with Peace, joy and comfort!
I love you in Jesus! Love, hugs and prayers! Yvonne

Hi dear friend! It's me again! LOL!! How are you? I am ok, but hurt my back shoveling snow, but thank goodness the back spasms have gone now.
I haven't much to report this week, didn't do much of anything, I get like that in the winter time. Oh just the usual stuff, cleaning house and laundry, cooking and taking care of Larry and Jackie. I don't know if I ever told you but I take care of an older lady, Jackie, she lives with Larry and I, shes a good friend also. She's not able to take care of herself as she falls a lot but she hasn't fallen in about 3 months now, so thats good, I help her set up her medication as she doesn't know how to do it right and just generally reminder to shower and change her clothes as she won't, I guess because her mind isn't all there. She also has bipolar so she needs to stay on her meds.
We got 16 inches of snow and believe me my doggies are having a hard time trying to walk in it, they have to run all the time their bellies are buried, LOL!! It's funny to watch them, trying to get through it, they are all pooped out when they get in the house.
I want to wish you a good weekend! I pray that things are good for you! We are holding our own, Larry's on unemployment right now, and it isn't much but hoping it will pay the bills anyways. He had very little work this past year so the unemployment check is very low. We will make it, but I'm still going to ask you to pray for God grace for us. Thank you dear friend, you are also in my prayers!
P.S. from now on my weekly greetings will be posted as a blog due to troubles with my 98 computer!
Take care! Talk soon, I look forward to your letter back. God Bless you with strength, success, love and peace! I love you! Love, hugs and prayers in Jesus! Yvonne

Hi! You all have made me so happy today! I see each one of your faces on my profile and I'd just like to reach out and give you a hug! Life for me is great! I try to stay positive and up beat! Oh things can get bad at times, especially with Michigan work not being real plentiful! But I say to myself Yvonne you have to take the bad times and turn them into something good. When one door closes another one will open, I love change, it keeps me refreshed and my imagination runs free! I'm a dreamer always have been I hope to always be a dreamer. My grandfather was a dreamer too and he loved life like I do, always trying to stay positive and find the good in all things. He would always say "There is a silver lining in all situations Yvonne always remember that" I'd laugh as I wasn't sure what he meant. He loved me dearly and always showed it by helping me play the piano, or he would set me on his lap and say sshhh... lets listen to the Detroit Tigers Baseball Game together, we did and we had a lot of hoots and hollers about the plays! He carried his Bible with him and would always say prayers, he taught me how to pray, always made sure I was in Sunday school and church, I love my Grandpa and Grandma, they are gone to heaven, but they live in my heart. I always think about them this time of the year as we always had a huge family get together at their house on Christmas day! Grandma made all the fixings plus everyone brought a dish, but grandmas desserts was the best, she always made me blueberry pie, yummmy, my favorite then. It was grand seeing everyone, I was the happiest little girl there. Know I'm all grown up, but I'm still the happiest girl around, because I love life, people, children, God and Jesus! I have met the greatest people this year on my computer and talk to people all over the world, My grandpa would of loved a computer, he would of had a blast. Oh fond memories do the spirit good! Thank the good Lord no one can take our memories away from us. I'm listening to Christmas music and can barely hold still in the chair, I'll have to do some dancing today in my kitchen! LOL!!
Have a wonderful week my dear friends and remember your loved ones and feel the joy in your heart! God Bless you with happiness, peace, love, and protection! Love, hugs and prayers in Jesus! Yvonne

The laughter of lots of children playing. The multitudes of adults visiting. Their voices blend in harmonious noise. The smiling faces. The greetings of love, hugs, kisses, hand shakes and pats on the shoulders. The all familiar faces of immediate family members. The saddness of each individual needs. Their struggles, the poorness of most. The love each one puts forth for that day. The joy I feel. My need to visit as many people as possible. To say "Hi!" to unfamiliar faces. To ask them "What is your name?" "Who are you married too?" "Are these your children?" "What is their names?" How pretty your baby is. "Who made this dish..?" It is good "Can I have the recipe?" To thank the ones who really made this holiday get together possible. To thank them was important to me. I prayed they know how much I appreciate all their hard work. A hug, a kiss on the cheek and a friendly goodbye. The thoughts of how many blessings I have taken for granite. "Love bears all things. Believes all things. Hopes all things. Endures all things. Love never ends...." 1 Corinthians 13: 7-8

I am a young woman of 45 years. I have vowed to make a difference in homeless childrens lives. I have taken the time and made up donation cans to raise money for IYN homless children. I have set the cans out in different locations and have collected money and sent it in to IYN. I am working on a food basket project next. I have made up to small baskets with a sign to let people know what kinds of food are needed for homeless children. I will be setting them out November 1st. I will also be making up pin-up hearts to be purchased for a dollar to go toward the Homeless children youth center. This is another dream to build our first homeless center for the homeless children of San Diego, but it goes beyond that as we are endeavoring to build more homeless shelter as funds become availiable. We need to take care of the homeless children of this World as no one else is. We people have to start caring. A donation of a few dollars a month will buy food for these hungry children $15.00 (aprox. $1.00 per child)will buy food for aproximatley 15 children for the day. Of course that is just one meal for them but they appreciate getting one meal. We have so much stuff and they have nothing. We need to have more mercy people, more love and you and I can do it. We need to walk the talk. To much talk and not enough action. Well I'm here to let you know that the reward you get is two fold. You will feel blessed and in being active and donating to the children you are blessing and helping them too. The best way I cheer myself up is to cheer someone else up. I'm sure you will feel this way too. I'm asking you all to help in one way or another, just being an active member of IYN is a big help and if you can send in a few dollars, food or clothing for these children that is welcome also. See you on the front lines! love and hugs!
